Standard Chartered China Summit

Standard Chartered's China Summit drew nearly 300 companies across 8 industries—many represented by founders or next-generation successors. Designing for this audience meant rethinking the standard corporate forum, starting at the door.

Instead of check-in desks and a scripted opening, AI robots took over the welcome: a humanoid robot greeted guests, while a robot dog led them to the photo area with a dance routine along the way. The effect looked effortless, but pulling it off took precise choreography to keep both robots moving smoothly through a packed crowd.

Since many guests were both forum attendees and private banking clients, the venue was zoned by function, letting public sessions and private meetings run in parallel—no shuttling between spaces required. A custom gelato station, branded in Standard Chartered blue with locally inspired flavors, gave guests a polished spot to pause between sessions. These are the kinds of details a standard event vendor simply wouldn't think to include.

The result: a summit that connected global business leaders with the next generation of family enterprise, while giving Standard Chartered's tech-forward image real, tangible presence—proof of DOING Marketing's craft in high-end corporate events.
